We are delighted to announce that Ansta is GDPR ready as we have been certified with Cyber Essentials well before the deadline of May 2018.
You must have heard of GDPR by now, it is all over the news and is one of the biggest shake-ups with data protection. General Data Protection Regulation or GDPR is a regulation intended to tighten up on data protection for all individuals and companies within the EU. GDPR becomes enforceable from the 25th May 2018 after a 2 year transition period. More details on GDPR can be found on Wikipedia. There are threats of massive fines for companies that are not GDPR compliant by the deadline.
Whilst GDPR is considered a pain and yet another regulation that companies need to comply with, the intentions are justified and extremely important to protect data companies hold on individuals. Here at Ansta we take this regulation extremely seriously as we work with a number of clients where data is held and our systems and procedures need to be compliant to protect ourselves and our client's data.
Cyber Essentials is a Government backed scheme to protect organisations, more information can be found on the official Cyber Essentials website from the National Cyber Security Centre.
